The implementation of the Corporate Directors’ Training Programme - CDTP,   by the Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia
or Companies Commission of Malaysia serves to enhance the understanding and knowledge of all Directors of Non-Listed Companies (DNLC) in the areas of Company Law and Corporate Governance to facilitate the efficient discharge of
directors’ responsibilities.

For this programme to be effective, the SSM has administratively made compulsory the attendance of all DNLCs in the country at this training programme.
This action is taken to fulfill the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumers Affairs’ aspiration for all DNLCs to be knowledgeable in the areas of Company Law and Corporate Governance.

The successful implementation of this training programme would fulfill the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs’ objective for all non-listed companies to be managed by directors who are knowledgeable on their profession.
Moreover, the programme is expected to overcome issues of insufficient knowledge and non-compliance amongst company directors in Law and Corporate Governance in this country.

In this respect, the SSM would like to emphasise for all Directors of Non-Listed Companies - DNLCs in the country to attend the above training programme, which are organized by institutions or organizations approved by the SSM for the nationwide implementation of this training programme.

Kursus Latihan Pengarah Syarikat Sdn Bhd

Pelaksanaan program latihan ini oleh Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) adalah bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kefahaman dan pengetahuan berkaitan undang-undang syarikat dan tadbirurus korporat kepada semua pengarah
Syarikat Yang Tidak di Senaraikan (SYTS) agar dapat menjalankan tanggungjawab sebagai seorang pengarah syarikat yang cekap.

Bagi mencapai keberkesanan program latihan ini, SSM kini secara pentadbiran telah mewajibkan semua pengarah SYTS
di negara ini untuk menyertai program latihan ini. Tindakan tersebut dibuat adalah bagi melaksanakan hasrat
Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna untuk mempastikan semua pengarah SYTS
di negara ini berpengetahuan dalam undang-undang syarikat dan tadbirurus korporat.

Dengan pelaksanaan program latihan ini, matlamat Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna
agar Syarikat Yang Tidak di Senaraikan SYTS diuruskan oleh pengarah-pengarah syarikat yang berpengetahuan dalam profesion mereka akan terlaksana dengan jayanya. Di samping itu program ini dijangka akan dapat menangani isu kurang pengetahuan dan ketidakpatuhan pengarah-pengarah syarikat kepada perundangan dan tadbir urus korporat di negara ini.

The SSM has made it compulsory for Company Directors to undergo this training programme to equip themselves
with the necessary knowledge. With the awareness and understanding of their duties and responsibilities,
corporate governance, compliance levels will be greatly enhanced thereby enhancing the healthy investment
environment and image of the country in the corporate world.
